Sidney MacDonald Baker, MD practices Functional Medicine in Sag Harbor, NY. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Medicine and a former Assistant Professor of Medical Sciences at Yale, Peace Corps Volunteer, family practitioner, Director of the Gesell Institute of Human Development, Founder of Defeat Autism Now! and Autism360.org, Linus Pauling Award recipient, and Associate Editor of Integrative Medicine: A Clinician’s Journal. He is the author of the books Detoxification and Healing: The Key to Optimal Health, The Circadian Prescription: Get in Step with Your Body's Natural Rhythms, and co-author with Jon Pangborn, PhD, of Autism: Have We Done Everything We Can for this Child? Effective Biomedical Treatments.
Patricia S. Lemer, M. Ed., MS Bus. is a licensed professional counselor with over 40 years of experience advocating for families of children with special needs. She is passionate about determining underlying causes of developmental delays and not just treating symptoms. Ms. Lemer is a co-founder of the nonprofit Developmental Delay Resources (DDR), which merged in 2013 with Epidemic Answers, for which she now serves as Board Chair. She is the author of two books on autism treatments: Envisioning a Bright Future: Interventions that Work for Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (2008) and Outsmarting Autism: The Ultimate Guide to Management, Healing and Prevention (2014).
Richard E. Layton, MD practices specialized pediatrics, allergy and preventative medicine in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Layton has discovered that allergies are the underlying cause of a wide variety of medical problems in adults and children of all ages. With over 40 years of experience in pediatrics and integrative medicine, Dr. Layton has achieved recognition for his successful treatment of children with learning, behavior, and developmental problems caused by allergies and nutritional deficiencies all over the United States.
Biju Nair is President and CEO at HYLA, Inc. As President and CEO, he is responsible for the execution and strategy of HYLA’s global business. Bringing more than 20 years of experience to his role, Mr. Nair is a recognized entrepreneur and technology industry leader. Most recently, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Strategy Officer for Synchronoss, as well as investor relations. Prior to joining Synchronoss, Mr. Nair was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sapience Knowledge Systems, Inc. He also serves on the Boards of numerous venture-backed start-up companies.
Dana Godbout Laake, RDH, MS, LDN is a Licensed Nutritionist providing preventive and therapeutic medical nutrition services through Dana Laake Nutrition in Kensington, Maryland. Her practice encompasses the full spectrum of complex health issues in all ages, including children with special needs, ADHD and autism. An honors graduate and outstanding alumnus honoree from Temple University, she received her master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Maryland. In addition to media presentations, writing, radio talk show hosting and providing professional continuing education courses, Dana Laake has been a Maryland Legislative Assistant on health issues and has served four Gubernatorial appointments on two state health care regulatory boards (Dentistry and Dietetic Practice). She is a scientific advisor and content contributor for the Neurological Health Foundation Healthy Child Guide and co-author of The Kid-Friendly ADHD & Autism Cookbook, The Ultimate Guide to the Gluten-Free, Casein-Free Diet (2009) and The ADHD and Autism Nutritional Supplement Handbook (2013).
